Programs that complement everyday learning

Camp Fire Out-of-School-Time Programs

Camp Fire is a true partner with many schools, meaning we deliver programs during the school day that are incorporated right into a teacher’s lesson plan. Our programs are developed in such a way that our staff can work directly with a teacher to ensure the flow of education is not interrupted. Programs delivered include:

  • Conflict resolution
  • Cyberbullying/bullying
  • Health and wellness
  • Digital literacy
  • Community service
  • STEM
  • Communication-skill building

How Do Out-of-School-Time Programs Work?

Out-of-School-Time programs are structured in collaboration with each individual teacher, and school, to ensure that Camp Fire programs support each youth’s education. Youth and teachers are encouraged to provide feedback to help deliver the program in a way that aligns with the students’ passions and unique talents. Our trained adult staff gathers this input to tailor curricula to meet the needs and nurture the sparks of the youth in the class.

Camp Fire Wise Kids®

Camp Fire’s Wise Kids® and Wise Kids Outdoors® health and wellness programs use the simple theory of “energy in = energy out” to teach children about eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle.
